In Arkhangelsk 16-20 March 2015 took place a meeting within the framework of ЕС TEMPUS project ALLMEET (of Lifelong Learning addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia). The meeting took place at the North (Arctic) Federal University.

The event was attended by representatives of the partner universities and organizations Bologna University Alma Mater Studiorum (Italy) – head of the concortium; partners from EU countries: NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Glasgow (UK), European Centre for assessment prior knowledge (the Netherlands); and Russian universities: Kazan (Volga) Federal University, Mari State University, Siberian Federal University, Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Institute of Pedagogy and Sociology Vocational Education RAO, Moscow City Pedagogical University.

17.03.2015 an international seminar “Building intercultural dialogue on national and regional levels: Russian and European best practices (Policy, Education, NGO initiatives) took part at NArFU. Presentations were made by representatives of universities - partners of the project. Speakers from Italy, Portugal, the UK and the Netherlands, as well as from Russian universities covered the best practices of intercultural communication and international cooperation in the represented countries and regions.

From 18.03.2015 to 03.20.2015 roundtables on the project TEMPUS «ALLMEET» were held. There were presentations and discussions on project management (supervision, reporting, content of the project) and dissemination of the project TEMPUS ALLMEET results; and building multicultural educational platforms and centers of lifelong learning on the basis of the Russian universities.

On the part of SibFU Olga G. Smolyaninova, a SibFU project leader, corresponding member of Russian Academy of Education, Dr. of Education, made a report on the intercultural web platform for multicultural lifelong learning aimed at the development of tolerance; and defining the target groups for such work. 

The meeting included discussion of the interim results of the project, training materials, monitoring outputs and other issus. During the meeting there were defined the approaches to the structure of the content for intercultural educational platforms taking into consideration the social atlas of the regions; methods of disseminating the results of the project and ensureing its sustainability after the end of the project in 2017.

The next project meeting will be held in April 2015 in Bologna, Italy at University of Bologna (ALMA MATER STUDIORUM Università di Bologna) – the TEMPUS ALLMEET project coordinator. There a scientific conference will be held and studying experience of migration centers and lifelong learning centers. Representatives of sibFU team are preparing to take at the conference.
