A project "Actions of Lifelong Learning addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia" (ALLMEET) is aimed at developing lifelong learning placing multicultural education and tolerance in Russia in the focus of the project.

A project is carried out by a consortium consisting of the four European, six Russian universities and two non-governmental organizations. The project coordinator is Alma Mater Studiorum University, Bologna (Italy). Other foreign participants are: University of Lissabon (Portugal), University of Glasgow (Great Britain), European Centre for Valuation of Prior Learning (Holland). The Russian participants are Kazan Federal University, Siberian Federal University, Northern (Arctic) Federal University, Mari State University, Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Russian Academy of Education, Moscow State Pedagogical University, and Youth public organization of Tatarstan Republic Center of volunteering development "Volunteer".

Head of the ALMEET project is Prof. Morena Cucunato, Alma Mater Studiorum University, Bologna. Prof. Cucunato describes the main goal of the project as “developing regional platforms for developing polycultural education in Russia”.

Supporting modernization of higher education in Russia; delegating to higher educational institutions a key role in realization of the lifelong learning in such spheres as migration, intercultural education, human rights, increasing the level of tolerance toward people having migrant background and representatives of ethnic minorities. These are the key objectives of ALLMEET project.
