Head of the SibFU TEMPUS «ALLMEET» team  Olga G. Smolyaninova and Deputy Head of PR Department of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Region Rashit G. Rafikov attended a briefing with the administration of the Center of social adaptation and integration for migrants and representatives of the regional top administration 15 March, 2016 in the Federal Migration Department. The Center is the part of the Federal Migration Department.

Rafikov attended a briefing with the administration of the Center of social adaptation and integration for migrants and representatives of the regional top administration 15 March, 2016 in the Federal Migration Department. The Center is the part of the Federal Migration Department.

Igor V. Gordeev, Director of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of the Federal Migration Department said that the meeting of representatives of the authorities, scientific community and practitioners at the Migration Center is certainly a significant achievement and will have influence on the future development.

Natalia S. Sorokina, Director of marketing and advertising, said that the Center needs partners for joint multi-cultural events, for its promotion and for carrying out support in the field of research and education, for the formation of the positive public opinion.

The Centre of social adaptation and integration for migrants is a unique institution in the Siberian Federal District. It was opened 29 January 2016 in the Soviet district of Krasnoyarsk. The center is located at Telmana street, 28 and covers an area of 4000 sq. meters.

During the meeting, various joint activities were formulated: holding adaptive training, educational seminars, opinion polls within the framework of the polyculticultural center for continuing education and personal training services IEPS SibFU; creating a platform for the student volunteers, various practical sessions for students of IEPS SibFU on the basis of Migration Center.

Head of the SibFU TEMPUS «ALLMEET» team  Olga G. Smolyaninova is confident that despite the fact that social adaptation is a complex process and it is possible only when the individual approach to every migrant is realized. The individual approach including psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, assessing the megrant’s professional experience gained outside the Russian Federation, and individual requests of a person.

Deputy Director of the branch Alla N. Dudorova shared a number of problems the Migrant Center faces, one of which is the existing deficit of personal and professional resources. Personal support of the migrants, tutoring them requires continuous improvement of skills and knowledge from the staff.

A tour around the Center of social adaptation and integration of migrants carried out by the branch director I.V. Gordeyev allowed the participants to immerse themselves in the authentic friendly environment created for migrants: there are the hotel,  testing center,  medical center, conference hall, and smiles and words of gratitude from customers on the board.One result of the briefing is the agreement on cooperation and regular meetings devoted to launching joint activities.
